Time to care Tuesday

A couple times a week I have been posting thought provoking prompts for the students to consider before they start their day.  It helps give them more purpose and a greater focus for the day.  Today was Time to Care Tuesday #what do you care to accomplish today?  Room 2 cared to work towards earning The One, getting their homework done in time to have free time before bed, being a good friend to everyone, adjust to the time change, and completing projects. These thoughtful goals help create a more positive mind set, leading to a happy learning environment.  The students have come to really enjoy thinking and reflecting about these topics.  I will post them from time to time so you can continue the conversation at home.  Happy chatting!

Confidence to Take Action!

We have focused on building a stronger sense of community at Fox Hill this year.  As part of our work we took some time to learn about what it means to have confidence to take action.  We read the books Weird, Thank you Mr. Falker, and The One to learn about different ways to have confidence to take action.  At the end our our study we reflected about why it is important to have confidence to take action.  We put together this video to share and document our thoughts and feelings about this topic. Click below and take a look! We are very proud of our work!
